I guess I'm officially old. I can remember it, too.

I knew I was aging when I looked into the mirror one morning and found it difficult to believe the person reflected in the mirror was me.

I am still trying to figure out where all the old people came from at my high school reunion.

I tell people they are old if they have to subtract the year they were born from the present year to figure out how old they are (yep, I've done that). :(

It scares me to think that remembering the early 1990s would be considered "really old!" That was the time when AM stations started flipping en masse to talk formats. Even in that era, WHAS and WOWO programmed music on the overnights, and a number of stations aired satellite delivered niche music formats, such as "Z-Rock" and "Solid Gold Soul."

Our oldies radio station is still on AM!, Same way here. In fact one station went back to an all music format on Jan 1. So now 1310 and 1410 AM is what I listen to in the shop / Shack. Since it's going to be cold and snowy this weekend, the wood stove will be going. The Collins and the National will be on, and the soldering iron hot. Going to be great.

When I watch an old movie from the early fifties I think it looks really old, tired, and dated. Then I realize I was already six years old when that particular movie came out. So, what does that make me?

Remember when you turned 25? ... you thought you were getting old then ... right?

Well for me, this coming April, I'll be celebrating the 25th anniversary of .... my 50th birthday!

I was just watching the Dakar rally and one of the racers went over a cliff. He's ok but it was questioned if at his age he should retire at 55. I thought wow hes old...I'm 54. : (
