Slow to load and I just got this

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@antiqueradios.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache Server at www.antiqueradios.com Port 80"

Some Forums and threads are slow to load and some load quickly; it's always been this way for me, but the Firefox update seems to have made it worse.

I'll occasionally get the "Internal Server Error" prompt when trying to enter a post with an attachment. The only cure I've found is to wait it out, sometimes until the next day. O/W, NP just reading posts.

Kinda good to know since I thought it was an error on my part. I got the identical errors last night around 9 o'clock when I tried to add a photo to a post..First it took forever to get into the right Forum....Then it took 6 or 7 tries trying to add the photo getting the 500 error each time. Just prior to that I had no problem adding several photos in another post in another Forum.

For me arf has been noticeably slow for at least three weeks.
20 or 30 seconds to load a page, or it doesn't load at all!

No updates or changes my end, and all other transatlantic/worldwide connections are fine.

My only workaround at the minute is to clear my browser's cache + cookies (frequently).
And... Delete all forum cookies (found at the bottom of the fourms index page).

Too lazy to use Ping or Traceroute...

Greg.

oh... no server errors here.

One of the (only) advantages of still being stuck on dial-up
is you get to see what is being loaded on to, or info being mined from
your computer when accessing websites. The reason becomes apparent
real fast. Bots, and overwhelmingly google bots that are slow to access
and respond. Also marketing bots which have been far more prolific
the past 2-3 years. Another thing that slows down access is 'ad-ons'
to sites. Advertising, with high-res and moving diaplays, facebook, twitter,
etc also slow things down a LOT.

My guestimate is the actual content you are expecting could be
accessed in 10% of the time without these software leeches.

The worst radio site is qrz.com. Its almost inaccessable now.

The slowdown started some weeks ago. Behavior is similar on two different computers.

The last few days, it has been better.

I notice the recent mainly after posting while the website takes some time before it goes back to the thread. It exhibits the same behavior using both FF and Opera 64 bit browsers.

That too.

I've noticed a pattern in my neighborhood, seems fine all day long but shortly after 3 PM kids come home from school and start online gaming, everything slows to a crawl.

Occasional ARF crashes because I try to load a jpeg image that has a
non letter character in the name.

For me, it slows way down around 9:00 EST. It's 11:30 now, and it loads fine.
Back in the old days when I had to work, I noticed that it loaded more slowly during lunch.

Me too. That's the biggest change I see in FF.... slow loading of ARF

Generally NP here, using Google Chrome. Just sometimes the "internal server error" when I try to post one of my witty -but without socially redeeming value- diatribes.
