A good retirement for me when I can`t move around much would be listning to songs and would be a good way to go out I think.

Sorry Face, to me they are played out. Saw the Inkspots live in grade school. We all got out of school for it even.

Your second selection has been done by just about everyone. Played out in my brain.

Nothing wrong with your efforts. Our musical tastes and mental processing are all different.

I'm totally burned out on the 60's 70's rock schlock classic stuff.

It's overplayed, overrated, with millions of other pieces of music out there, why does there seem to be a playlist of 20 songs that are always played?
When someone hears them for the thousandth time, they act like it just came out and the song is "new".

Go to a car show and you hear the same junk over and over :) Generally at the local 'shows' you see the same cars over and over also.

My opinion only YMMV

It is refreshing though to hear some of the true 80's new wave stuff (I hate to put labels on a genre) the new Mercury Mariner ad using Tones on Tail- Go!

Baltimora's Tarzan Boy in the Listerine ads

Lets hear a little Bow Wow Wow, Berlin, Clash, Depeche Mode, Earsure, Adam Ant, FLock of Seagulls, Echo and the Bunnymen, you get it.
But I am getting a little tired of Blondie's One way or Another Swiffer ads. :)

No vote. I don't really like either of them.

The Ink Spots reminds me of the type of songs my grandmother bought me as a kid, when I wanted rock'n'roll.

"He Ain't Heavy" takes me back to 1969, Christmas time in Vietnam with six months to go.

My vote back then goes to We Got To Get Out Of This Place by The Animals.

Mike. We are glad you made it back.
I like the Hollies when Graham Nash was with them. They had more harmony then the Hollies of the late 70's. Although I do like their song "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress". Have to agree with Gary Rabbit. Classic Rock stations and 80's stations wear it out beyond tolerance. They won't even play the B sides of hit 45's.

Theres no stations around my area that plays either types, so if I do get to pull in a station that plays say the Animals its like listning to it again from way back.
There are a couple of FM country and modern rock mostly after 1980 some dip back into the1970`s.

Well, I reckon I'll post my thoughts on the two songs. I like them both. Prior to hearing He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother the other day, it was probably twenty years ago since I last heard it. So, it was refreshing to hear it again.

As for If I Didn't Care, I heard it on Pandora, along with many other classics from the early years of radio about a week ago.

By the way, I NEVER listen to Classic Rock on the radio or, on any other venue for that matter.
