Hello everyone! Radio XLVIII will be held on March 5, 2017! Please note that the location has been MOVED to the Radisson, off of US-3 Exit 1 in Nashua, NH! We will have one BIG room, with 100 tables overall, and around 60 dealers! It's the biggest old radio show on the east coast!

For general admission, doors open to the public at 8AM. Admission will be $10 between 8 and 11AM, and free between 11AM and 1PM. Stick around 'till the end, because they'll be raffling off several items, including Zenith TransOceanics! Note that this indoor show will be held rain, show or shine - NEARC has never canceled an event, and NEVER will!

For sellers, tables will be $20 apiece. Sellers must be a member of NEARC in order to reserve tables. Note that no doors will be opened until 6:30AM; sellers will be able to load-in on Saturday afternoon starting around 3PM, and between 6:30AM and 8:00AM the day of the show. More info here.

PLEASE NOTE!!!!!
If you saw this post before, you would've seen an address for the Courtyard by Marriott. Unfortunately, due to a booking error, the location for the show has been changed. The NEW location for the show is as follows:

The Radisson
11 Tara Blvd (US Route 3 Exit 1)
Nashua, NH 03062

More info as it comes in. The correct link to the flyer, updated with the correct venue location, can be found here:

http://www.nearc.net/download/poster_8x11_westford.pdf

Further valid info about the new location can be found on the NEARC website.

See you there!!! 8)

Bumping this to the top because of a last-minute location change. Please note the new site address for the show, and please let as many folks as you can about the change in venues. Apologies for any confusion this may cause.

We're aware of that; that's why I took the link down. That flyer was created at least a month ago, and we only learned of the venue change this past Saturday. This page has the correct info now:

Please let your radio friends know about the change in venue.

On the NEARC home page there is text "CLICK here to go directly to our site!"

If I then click on the image below Radio XLVIII NEW location. It directs me to the Flyer with the wrong venue

Any discount at the Radisson if the radio club is mentioned?

Radisson, Tell them your membership number. Phone (603) 888-9970.

Actually, I just joined the Radisson Club online and the price for a room was reduced a few dollars. It appears to be a nice Hotel with a full service restaurant, which is what my wife enjoys.
In addition, in Manchester, NH, there is a Vintage type antique show on Saturday.

So, is there any precipitaion in the way of snow/rain due over the weekend?
I checked the 10 day weather report for the area and it looks dry.

I haven't booked yet but close to pulling the trigger.

I pulled an online forecast for Manchester:

SATURDAY NIGHT
Mostly clear. Lows 10 to 15.

SUNDAY
Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 30s.

SUNDAY NIGHT
Partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow
showers. Lows in the mid 20s.

Tune to a Manchester radio or TV station for a more immediate forecast and traffic...

I just reserved a hotel room for $99.00. Just tell them you're attending the antique radio club event. It was very easy to reserve the hotel room. It's the same price as the Westford Regency used to be.

I also just checked the NEARC web site and everything seems to be updated as far as the location, flyer, etc.

It looks like they are still working on the table arrangements.

Considering what their club had to go through, I think they did a great job.

I don't know why people are dumping on the NEARC. It wasn't their fault the hotel double booked events.

Just trying to help.

Thanks again, Eddy. I was indeed aware of that, and alerted the webmaster this morning. The flyer has since been changed. Here is an image of the updated version:

A link to the online version can be found here. Please remove the attached image of the old flyer from your post to reduce confusion. This has been quite the ordeal for the NEARC, but with diligence and perseverance, we can get past this unfortunate venue issue, and the show will be successful. :D

I'd like to take a moment, if I could, to tip my hat to the NEARC officers and volunteers who, this past week, went above and beyond the call of duty. You had to deal with a venue change literally days before our major NEARC event and in the spirit of "the show must go on" you folks kept it on track. It must have been an immensely frustrating and discouraging challenge. With much behind the scenes scrambling and work, a new venue was secured and RADIO XLVIII will go on as planned. I will be there bright and early when the doors open. Although my words may fall short, I'm sure I speak for others when I say thank you for your time, work, and contribution.

I feel that some people in posts on various web site have been unfair to the NEARC.

As I stated "It wasn't their fault the hotel double booked events."

And "Considering what their club had to go through, I think they did a great job."

That's all.

There were still a fer seller tables available per my e-mail notice today. This is very tempting ! I think I may hold off until the next NEARC show. I enjoy the aspect of tailgating and not having to drag things in and out of the hall.

Wow, what a great show! :D Thanks to everyone who got the word out about the new location. It looks to have been a huge success, in spite of all the difficulties. Didn't buy a whole lot, myself, but I saw lots of cool stuff there, and had fun chatting with many of the folks there (including as I was watching the entrance door before the show started). Hope to see you folks at the Brookline show in June! 8)

Yes, a great show. Purchased 3 nice radios and some supplies.
Thank you to NEARC for putting the show together.

Also had a chance to shop at the New Hampshire Wine Outlet which was about 1 mile from the hotel. I was very impressed at the enormous selection of wine available at the Nashua wine outlet. The items on sale or were on discount for the week at the wine outlet were the absolute best prices I have seen for the name brands.
In addition, no sales tax.

1) Wonderful Show.
2) No snow.
3) Great wine store.
4) No sales tax on the wine purchased.

I think it was the best one yet. Kudos to all you guys who helped out in trying circumstances to say the least. Attendance was far more than I had expected.
A lot of good stuff was available.

Had a great time at the radio meet.

Hotel was very nice. Attendance was huge. Sold a lot of stuff.

Very happy.

Considering they were forced to change the location at the last minute I think the NEARC did an excellent job!

Can't wait for their next radio meet.
