a.k.a. Keith Partridge, Dead at 67.

For a time in the early 70's he was probably more popular than The Beatles.

He and Donny Osmond ruled the early 70s. Couldn't get a girl's attention - but those two did.

Great singer and actor - love the Partridge Family reruns! RIP David.

As I recall "The Brady Bunch" and "Partridge Family" were back to back broadcasts on Friday night.

I heard on the news yesterday that David suffered from dementia in his final few years. Surprising for someone that young.

I think it was in his family, his Mother had it too. Bio Mom, not Shirley.

He was a true pop-culture icon and, although he passed young, he had quite a life. His image evokes my earliest memories of the early '70's when I was a little kid. I watched both "The Partridge Family" and "The Brady Bunch" faithfully. The '70's was the last great care-free decade wasn't it? It all began to go sterile after that. RIP David

This kind of news just makes me feel even OLDER! I'm only a year younger than he was. Always envisioned David as he was on The Partridge Family, and it's hard to think of him with dementia, and now deceased.

Fame can kill and often does. I can't imagine how anyone makes it through all that constant pressure w/o escape.
Sad.

If I am not mistaken, his Father, actor Jack Cassidy, suffered from a similar fate.

My sister was gaga over his half-brother Shaun.
Can't tell how many times I heard da-doo-ron-ron-ron-da-doo-ron-ron coming from her room.

RIP David.

I watched the Partridge Family back in the day too. I was in junior high then and got a lot of grief for it. While most kids my age were into David Cassidy, Bobby Sherman, etc., most of the kids in my school were already into acid rock- Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead and the like. Of course I had the teenybopper crush on Susan Dey (Laurie), and envied David no end for being such a chick magnet.
