I have seen reference on several early 50s Zenith sets to an option called "Phonevision". Does anyone know what this was for? Were they really thinking about sending full bandwidth television images over phone lines? Was anything ever implemented or is this like the "television sound" input on some early 40s radios.
Tim
------------------
Tim

Phonevision was an early pay TV experiment in Chicago. Scrambled video was broadcast over the air on a standard TV channel. A dedicated phone line delivered the sync. Thanks Steve. That was interesting reading. I wonder if any of the original set top boxes are still around.
Tim
------------------
Tim
