Hi all-
I have a Sylvania Halo Light model 376M. It is a 21" console cabinet model with the knobs below the picture. Any chance anyone would have a schematic for it, and if possible, any suggestions for changing the picture tube? I have replaced or installed/removed CRTs like the 7JP4, 10BP4 and 3KP4, but not such large ones as 21". The tube type is a 21EP4A/B, and I have obtained a used tube to replace it with. The set had been working, but with a weak CRT, when recently a friend accidentally broke the neck off the back of the tube- luckily the old one happened to be real weak anyway! I also have another Halo Light model, not sure of the model #, but will get it to you soon- appears to be a 1957 or so model, later than the one mentioned above- teh knobs are above the CRT, and the volume control has a mechanical cable linkage from the knob shaft down to the actual pot down near the lower part of the chassis. Any suggestions to fixing this, or anyone have such junk sets to get it from? Like mentioned in other threads here, I do hate to cannibalize another set for parts, unless it is absolutely trash. I'm curious also as to what the value of these sets typically are, with them being in "good" condition, not mint, but certainly not rough, either. Thanks!!
Dave, Charlotte NC
------------------
Dave D

Dave - Try Dick Lerche at lerche@home.com for a copy of the Sams Photofacts schematic. I also have a halo lite set, but can give you no further info as to value. Good luck.
------------------
Another possibility for a schematic would be Midwest Antique Radio Service at http://www.mwt.net/~rhodesl/
They are inexpensive and very fast! I really don't know about the value, but one is pictured in "Mid-Century Modern" by Cara Greenberg, which is very popular among period collectors. More exposure always helps!
Andrew
------------------
A good source of Sams Photofacts by mail is A. G. Tannenbaum www.agtannenbaum.com
------------------
