Hi Tony,
The price on those varies depending on the condition of the cabinet and whether or not the original metal back which is specific to this cabinet is present. Examine the set carefully for cracks because visible ones on the top or sides really hurt the value.
I have seen unrestored ones with no back go for under $100 within the last year. Nice working restored ones with back sometimes sell for $350 or more. The back cover alone can sometimes be expensive to buy, as many of the sets are missing that important item.
If you could get one complete with no cracks and all its correct knobs and original back for around $100 to $150 that would be an excellent deal, and since you can pick it up there is no worry about shipping this very heavy set. If you do get the set, be sure to remove the chassis before transporting it. The bakelite cabinet is very fragile and I have seen people break them just hauling the set around. The chassis was also used in other models of the same vintage and is very common, what you are paying for on an unrestored set is mainly the condition of the cabinet and how complete the set is. If you can test the CRT before purchase, a strong one would increase the set's value.
This price range applies only if it is really a 10". Admiral also built other versions of the bakelite consoles with up to 17" screen, and any of the models other than the 10" are worth considerably less.
------------------
Dennis

Hi,
I bought a 10" this past summer, no knobs and back missing, $10.00 at a tag sale.I more or less took it as a favor to the guy that had the tag sale. I know he would have thrown it on the dump, was my neighbor.
Ken
------------------

According to my reference book the 22X12 is the 12" model from 1949. I don't know if this is correct as these books tend to have errors.
Still I would say you got a good deal at $60!

The 10" model 24A12 is shown here: http://www.vintagetvsets.com/24a12.htm
This is a two chassis set.

------------------
