Sorry if this is not really antique enough.
Who was Sears using for there OEM builder in 1991 for there LXI brand console TVs?
What's the word on collectable and value for a TV that new, somewhere between dirt and rocks I would guess? It's in amazing shape, that's why I let it follow me home, I was looking for a TV for my room to hook up to a VCR. It's a 26".

What are the first three digits of the model or chassis number before the period? That will tell who the manufacturer was.
By that time much of the LXI was Sanyo.
You are correct, it has less than zero value. In many communities you have to pay to get rid of them to a recycler as they cannot be put in the trash and thrift stores don't want them either. If it works, it may last for several more years or it could quit today. Already well beyond the life expectancy. They were not bad sets when they were new, with decent picture and didn't break down often.

Thanks for the info! Model is 564 then the dash that's all I got for now, I will have to take the back off again to look at the chassis number ect. The speaker if I recall said Sanyo so it must be a sayno set. That is were this one came from (the thrift store) it was being loaded on the forks of the fork lift along with some other TV's when I showed up, to be dropped in a large empty barge dumpster. Ya it works well, I hooked it up my cable and it's puts a nice bright clean clear picture with good sound. 564 is the Sears source code for Sanyo.

In case anyone was wondering what it looks like here is a photo. Will be a nice bed room entertainment system when I get a VCR for it.

That should be a good TV; but, like others have said, it has virtually zero value. If you like it and enjoy using it; then, that's all that really matters.
I wonder who made the CRT in that set? If you can find the EIA number that should be on the tube label, that will tell us. I have an '85 19" Sears/Sanyo that uses an RCA tube; but, I think Zenith and Sylvania supplied them with CRT's, as well.

radiotvnut, I love your YouTube channel.
The number I got off the tube was A63ABG27X. Is that the right number?
The entire yoke was really lose. The rubber that holds it against the glass fell out (two of them). The gray plastic thing right by the gun was lose. I fiddle with all that until the picture was good, then put some white silicone caulk to hold it in place. No ideal what all that dose but it seems work better now. Not nearly as much smearing or blurring of bright objects.

The EIA number will probably be very small and read something like "EIA 274".
Those rubber yoke wedges are for holding the yoke in the best physical position for best purity and convergence. Those rings on the neck of the CRT also affect purity and convergence. It's common for the tape that holds the rubber wedges in place to let loose over time and it's also fairly common for the plastic housing on the yoke and convergence magnets to become brittle and break.
I seriously hope that the CRT wasn't sourced from Zenith/Rauland. It was about that time when Zenith CRT's started going down the toilet. A couple of years ago, someone gave me a 20" high end Sanyo-built LXI TV from '88-'89 that had a Zenith CRT in it that was on it's way out. On that tube, the white balance would shift between bright and dark scenes (common problem on Zenith tubes from that era). I could tell that the TV had the potential to make a nice picture, had the CRT been good.

EIA is 553 with a date of Aug 1991! Hope it's not Zenith.
Your right they printed that in tiny tiny font.

Well, good news! It's not Zenith. It's Thomson Consumer Electronics (RCA). Those Thomson CRT's seem to be decent and I don't recall seeing too many weak ones.
