I'm still looking for knobs for my little Admiral 19A1, 7 inch Bakelite set I am bringing back to life.

There is a single ON/OFF and a CONTRAST knob that fit on the split type ribbed shaft.

The tuner has a fine tune and the selector. This is a turret tuner with flats on the shafts.

These original knobs had a kind of cross hatch pattern.

I could live with some type of replacement failing finding the originals.

The channel escutcheon is also missing which was removable so you could tweak the slug for each channekl without removing the chassis.

Hi Jim,

I have a few of the two outer waffle knobs. They are black for the 19A12 model.
The 19A11 is the more common brown model. I might have some of those too. Which color is your set ?

Hi

My Admiral is a brown Bakelite one piece cabinet with a bit of wood grain effect.

The picture tube mask is a gold tone.

The ON/OFF and the CONTRAST are single knobs and fit a split shaft

The tuner has a fine tune knob and the channel selector is like a bar that points at the channel number and the shafts have a flat.

I have never seen the proper knobs for one of these.

There is also a rectangular escutcheon with the channel numbers which comes off (mine is missing) so you can stick a tweaker through the front.

When I bought the set the chassis was loose in the cabinet and the foam rubber picture tube surround was a petrified glob laying in the bottom of the cabinet preventing the chassis from being pushed in all the way, no screws.

The CRT is mounted to the chassis so the surround is not all that necessary

I was real surprised to find it has a perfect 7JP4 CRT.

I was also missing the mounting plate for the tuner but have since made a good copy.

Please let me know what you have and what you want for them

Thanks, Jim

Oh, sorry I was assuming you knew what they looked like. Here are the brown and black versions.
Note the long shaft on the fine tuning knob. That's the tricky one to find in my experience. The one to the right of it with a shorter shaft doesn't really work without modifications.

The channel plates are often warped or damaged. It's would be awesome if someone made reproductions :)

I'll let you know what I can dig up.

I thought I posted a reply on here but just in case:

The brown knob style matches my set with the long shaft for the tuner.

If I had a good clear high rez picture of the channel number plate I may be able to print it on transparancy and mount it to a metal plate. I assume the plate is thin metal. Probably need a good picture of that as well.

My set has the turret tuner.
