I'm looking to purchase several Tele Tone 208 and 220 models. Also I'm in need of a Tele Tone 208 antenna to complete a previous project. I'm willing to pay fair prices. Also do the 208 and 220s how a hole in the bottom for servicing the capacitors? I'm working on my first set and wonder if it came from the factory this way or if somebody cut a hole out of the bottom.

I have one of these
7" electrostatic TV correct?
My set has a hole in the bottom of the suitcase cabinet which has a metal panel covering it. The metal has small perf holes probably for ventilation.
As far as servicing I would never mess with going through the bottom as four screws per chassis remove them and then servicing is easy. The receiver chassis has a test socket on one side.
The receiver chassis is on the bottom and the sweep chassis with the picture tube is sideways. I pull the bottom chassis first then the sweep chassis.
The whole thing can plug together on your workbench.
There is a release for the tuner escutcheon which makes getting the chassis in and out of the cabinet easier (watch the dial cord on the fine tuning)
These sets are an AC/DC design (HOT CHASSIS) so use caution and an isolation transformer if yo go inside the cabinet.
Decent design, several variants, not all covered by the service data. IF alignment is tricky, 7JP4 pix tube is unobtainium.
The Brass front panel is easy to polish out. The tape measure antenna is novel.
I need a front cover for mine if you come across a spare.
