I am having this weird problem with a "split" picture. There is a thick line in the middle of the screen and on the right side of the screen, appears the half that should be on the left side. On the left side of the screen, is the part of the picture that should be on the right. Weird huh? I have recapped it and verified the wires to yoke are connected correctly. I was checking resistors and did not find any way off. What would cause this? The line is a 1 inch thick line that goes through the exact center of the screen vertically.

The phase detector does that when one of the diodes goes. Fix this and your center bar may well disappear. If not, you might want to swap out the horz. output tube. It may be prone to internal oscillations. Craig

I went to wiggle the phase detector tube when the set was running to see if it made any difference, bumped the horizontal oscillator tube and that fixed it. It has a weak pic tube but is working now!
