My 2nd cousin just sent me this radio. Pretty dirty and the battery spring inside was corroded. Cleaned it up some and tried 4 fresh D batteries. Nothing. Does anyone know if this is a good player worth the effort to get it going?

I have never had a Channel Master, never seen one personally, but saw it mentioned a few times while looking through the Transistor Radio Forums here just gleaning information...

Found a thread where one of the members says it's a good AM radio:

Hope this helps.

ART:
Sent you a PM. I have the service data for the CM 6510. Let me know if you want me to send you a "hard" copy.

I have one of this model also. Mine needs an on-off /vol switch. Whoever had it before ran 2 wires out of the cabinet and attached a switch to them as a temporary fix.
