I bought the new cc 2 radio, what a hunk of junk! My Grundig 450 that I bought on sale at Radio Shack for 69.00 sounds so much better, and receives distant am stations better with no additional antenna than the CC radio does with all the added antenna crap that I also fell for! Anyone else experience the same? I really love the Grundig 450.

I would suggest returning it for a refund.

+1.

No reason to keep something you aren't happy with.

Ditto what Brett said. There has been much discussion about the performance of C. Crane radios not living up to their advertising claims. Let us know what their customer service is like and if they gladly give you your money back.

Based on my interaction with them, I would expect prompt and courteous service. We'll see, I guess.

Why keep it if you overpaid for it? Doesn't make much sense.
You can pick up a nice AM/FM Sony radio from the drug store for about $10.

That same radio is selling at my local Walgreens for $9.99 or $6 dollars online!

Jon,
Return it and let them know your frustration. They think all their customers are happy with the junk, if no one complains.

I suspect they will cheerfully reimburse you.

"If an item proves to be unsatisfactory within 60 days of receipt, you may return it to us for refund or credit toward other products. We are sorry but original shipping charges are non-refundable. Please call for a Return Authorization number before returning an item. Returned products, original cartons and manuals must be in "as new" condition for a full product refund. A reasonable deduction will be made for any damaged or missing items."

Yes, at list price of $159.95 you did overpay. Buyers must state their dissatisfaction.
Get a cheaper radio to listen to the ball games on.
Let us know what happens.

A review, and dissatisfied customer.

A hundred and sixty bucks for a radio to listen to basketball games with? Are you crazy, lol?

Send it back for a refund, go to the drug store, buy a 10 dollar radio, and use the 150 you saved for something more worthwhile...Like an antique radio or 3, lol.

Just my suggestion. Don't be shy in asking them for you to return it. You are by far not the only one in that category.
