I thought I would share a resource for repair of transistorized multiband radios. For those of you in Southern California he is within reasonable driving distance located in Little Tokyo and Burbank. He also does a lot of his repair work via radios mailed to him from all over the country.
I have brought him at least 30 radios in the last year with some very tough issues and he has 100% success in being able to fix and make them operate as new. He is very tenacious and just digs till it is right, even sourcing obsolete components.
He is a skilled electronics engineer and has a historical wealth of experience with US, Japaneese and european radio designs. I have found his pricing and turn-around time very reasonable. He is a very soft-spoken individual and is honest as the day is long.....a pleasure to deal with!
If you have a need for someone to fix something on a multiband radio that has illuded you or prior repair techs, I recommend you touch base with him. Andy does some advertising for repair services on E-Bay under "jrtkyu" or you can call him on his cell at 213-210-1121.
