Does anyone have a scanned copy of manual for chassis 9HT40Z1 or Z2 available?

The one I can get from the web is the 9CD40Z2 which has a different IF wiring. My radio is the one the two IF transformers above the RF deck, the manual I have shows only one transformer.

Next question for the experts: On a 3000-1, the voltage at TP1 never goes above -0.850 Von AM. The lowest I can get the AGC at that point is -0.560 V with a very strong signal from the Sig Gen.

I have replaced the 10 Mfd cap (C35) as well as the 180K 5% resistor (it had gone up to 210K) and that brought the voltage up by about 0.10V. I have checked resistance to ground from TP1 (with the RF amp removed) and it's within what you would expect with the series resistance at the end of the string. Short of replacing all the .05 Mfd caps, all the resistors have been checked and they are within their specs.

As a reference, the 1000-1 does show the correct -1.00 V at TP1 as one would expect and it's AGC drops to about -.50 V with a strong signal.

Sensitivity on the 3000 appears to be adequate for the radio but that small AGC (about 0.3 V) swing worries me. I was expecting more. And yes, I swapped RF Amps between the 1000 and the 3000 with same results.

I checked the archives here (as much as can be done) but didn't see any posts that address this issue.

From what I have seen of previous solid state TOs here, there is quite a gold mine of expertise here.
