Try "Radiopup". She has a vast array of knobs available and is likely to have the one you need. She's on the forum and you can reach her by PM. She has bailed me out a couple of times.
Any chance that the volume control can be repaired? Sometimes one might have to rebuild part of the control to salvage it. I repaired the on/off switch to a volume control of a Viscount pocket transistor radio last year, and it required quite a bit of machining & fabrication. It was an impossible job, but I managed to repair it.

Yeah? How does one rebuild a worn out carbon ring?
Sometimes you can use a soft pencil to redraw the track (if you see what I mean). It depends on how badly the track is damaged, but if it's a bit scratchy, a soft pencil will usually cure the problem
I would have to disassemble the radio to get a good picture but I did find a schematic and the thumb wheel pot is 5K and is coupled to a single-pole switch.

Go to this page at Mouser.com and then view the .pdf datasheet as the picture on the first page doesn't quite show how the lugs ar for the switch part. The datasheet shows all 5 lugs. Might be worth ordering as it is cheap.
Wow! What an amazing find. I will open the radio and take measurements and then compare to the pdf. I want to thank you very much! This project may turn out to be so easy, a cave man can do it.
