Hello all !,

I have a Marvel 6YR-27 radio that I need a schematic for.

I have been looking all over the web and I can't find this or any Marvel schematics.

The radio is a small six transistor set made around 1962, if anyone has a schematic for

this or any other similar Marvel set please let me know.

Thanks

Bob R.

Can you post a photo of the front, and the back (with the cover removed)?

Some people want to go beyond just fixing a radio and want to know more about how the radio was designed. Part of this hobby is about learning and understanding the circuits involved. A schematic is handy for this as well as for troubleshooting so you aren't just stabbing in the dark.

Lots of excellent information included in the schematic.
Never leave home without it! :P :P

Hello again,

I have not been able to find a schematic yet, but I was able to fix the radio anyway.

I like to have a schematic for all my radios, for any repairs and yes because I like to see

the different design styles.

I have attached a photo of the radio.

That number isn't listed in the Sam's index, but if you post a photo of the circuit board,
I might be able to find a nearly identical chassis.

My Bunis guide shows Marvel 6Y numbering only going to 20. Does yours have CD Marks?

That radio has been sold under various brand names.
Found the schematic for it under the Norwood Model NM-600.

Thank you very much !, that looks to be the schematic .

Just for reference, the model number is 6YR-67, yes I got it wrong the first time !.

This number appears on the solder side of the circuit board, also

It appears that C4 in my radio is a 5uf instead of the 1uf on the schematic.

Thanks again Mitch, this info will come in handy because I intend on collecting

as many variations of this radio that I can find.

WHY ?, because this was the first radio I received as a kid, so it holds a special place in my memories.

Happy collecting !

Bob R.
