I just picked up a Sharp Multi Band Deluxe; Model FV-1800A radio recently and cannot find much information on it. I would like to fina a Service Manual or schematic as well as any other information. If any of the Forum members have this radio and/or have any information to share, I would be most grateful. I have attached a picture to aid in the model identification.
Thanks Much!!

That model shows up as being listed in Sams TSM-151. I don't have it. You seem to find some of the neatest radios,

I just got one of those over the weekend; it was the door prize at the PARS Christmas luncheon, and I had the winning ticket! I could use a copy of the service manual, if anybody has one. It performs well, but I'd like to touch up the alignment, as the AM sensitivity seems a bit low. This radio might be the loudest portable for its age, that I have ever heard.

Are they scarce? It probably was expensive in its day.

Tim,
I have the Sharp Service Manual that I can send you. Please send me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll get it to you. I no longer have the radio but it was a great performer.
Regards,
Bob

Tim,
I also found the Sam's Photofact Service Manual which should be helpful IF you PM me with your e-mail address. I assume you still want these?
Regards, Bob

Yes Martin, it can be downloaded but for non-members it takes forever to download a page at a time and depending on the number of pages, it can take weeks!!!!
A real pain!

If you send me a PM with your e-mail address, I will send you the Service Manual file I have. I no longer have this radio so I am not sure what the antenna looked like, mounting configuration, size, etc. The radio has two antennas and they are different sizes as I recall. Do you need both? If you post the antenna details of what you need, I'll look and see if I have something that will work.

I have attached a couple pictures that show the two 6-section antennas used for FM reception on this radio. I believe that "lwrench" needs these replacements. I have checked my antenna stock and I do not have two identical ones that replicate these. I also do not know how they mount so that would be important to know what options are. Perhaps "lwrench" will post some additional information and detail that might help others understand what he needs.

That radio makes the over-used silver on black motif look good.
