Good morning Gents,

I recently picked up an old Royal 500 variant from a friend, did the usual re-cap, and the radio works admirably.

I'm running into something where the set is "drifting" though, when tuned into the local AM station that plays oldies, every so often it will drift off-frequency, and need a touch of the dial to reset it. I've never messed with any of the early transistor sets, much less a Royal 500, so I must say I know next to nothing about them, any thoughts?

I believe mine is the B variant, as it's the black case, but has the printed circuit board as compared to the point-to-point wiring that the first ones had. Quite the nice little radio, and for what it is, the sound isn't bad either.

Any thoughts or opinions about this would be most appreciated, I'm finding myself growing more fond of the set as I use it!

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,
Tom

Sounds good, I'll check on that!

Thanks!
