Motorola XP23DN Transistor Dial Stringing Info Needed

Hi all,

I took a chance and purchased a very nice looking Motorola XP23DN transistor radio thas has a broken dial string and also may have a missing dial pointer.

Was wondering if anyone has the service info showing how the dial cord is strung ?

Also was wondering if anyone has the smaller diameter dial string that's used on transistor radios ?

Frank

Hi Mitch,

I also have a few more radios that I can work on in the meantime.

So no hurry, take your time. Even if its takes a week thats fine.

You're welcome Frank. Hope that string works out for you.

Make it last, that stuff is VERY hard to find. I just lucked into some and I'm passing along my good fortune.

By the way, I'm sure I had one of these new in the box with tissue paper wrapped around the outside. Sold it to a collector for a nice price. Will have to dig around and see if I took a picture of it.

Please post pics of your radio when it's finished!

Mitch
