Just curious what a CM PM-6721 is, and how well does it perform...I cant find alot of info about it...which usually means its not such a good radio...even tho it has 19 transistors...

A Google Image search turned up this picture. I'm not a fan of any radio that uses slider controls. Transistor count is not necessarily a measure of a radio's performance.

I am 100% with you on the sliders...I never did like them and still dont..but, for 8$ I had to have it..even if it dont work...it should have some good parts in there I could use..

This will be the first slider radio I think I have ever bought......

Most complaints with sliders is that they bind mechanically and do not slide smoothly. Often this occurs after cleaning with a non-lubricating cleaner, which tends to strip away the lubricant.
After cleaning, the use of DeOxit Fader Lube will restore their smooth mechanical operation. As long as the radio has enough mass, moving sliders shouldn't require that you stabilize it to do so.
In some cases, the binding is due to the plastic knob binding against the plastic housing - fixing this often requires more clever means.

Hong Kong made? There are several other radios just like yours - the Binatone and a Westminster model.

http://www.dustygizmos.com/arcpages/arcradio.htm - Binatone

By the time your radio was made, Channel Master had moved on from selling rebadged Sanyos. I worked at a distributor that sold the Channel Master TVs (actually, Sanyo 91C_ _ stuff), table radios, and portable radios. We never sold the OPs radio model - the boss had dropped all but Channel Master TVs by then, about 1982-1983.

This POS is the worst radio I have bought in my entire life...I played it at the max 10 minutes, then broke it into pieces and trashed it..live and learn..

I have another piece of crap similar to that, sliding controls get stuck and bind, sound is terrible, reception sucks and it looks like a spider web inside with wires running in every direction, really sloppy workmanship.

I don't even know what brand it is, it just says Multi-Band on the front badge.

I have this radio in the International Electronics version, model 1829, which I bought on eBay. It looks exactly the same as the Channel Master PM-6721. The slider controls on mine are OK and the radio works fine.

Found this Autotronic 752M today on eBay which appears to be almost identical to the Channel Master PM-6721 except for the cabinet and slider buttons and pushbuttons.
