I just got a Royal 7000, AM and SW is dead, FM is quiet and insensitive, VHF is great.

I have been trying to go through the FM alignment procedure, however I cannot figure out how you are supposed to adjust the coils on the front of the chassis?

On the back, the FM coil adjustment points (i.e. T13) are allen wrenchable.

On the front, the FM coil adjustment points (i.e. L16) look like a little piece of brass spring sticking out of a red piece of plastic???
What the heck are you supposed to do with these?? As in how do you turn them?

Any help is very appreciated, I'm sure Ill have other questions as I try to get this thing going... but the question above is puzzling me at the moment.
