My RD7000Y works great on all but the VHF and FM bands. Here is lacks sensitivity and the sound is very distorted. On all other bands it seems to be quite sensitive and the audio is great. I used DeOxit on all the transistors which can be reached with the back off. I'm looking for ideas for what to try next.
Thanks,
John
------------------
Distortion on the FM band could be caused by mis-alignment of the FM discriminator coil. However, I would use alignment as a last resort, and do not see it causing distortion on the VHF band unless you are receiving an FM signal there.
------------------
