While hunting for some radio parts in my radio room , i discoverd this Collins receiver type COL -46159 / TCS-6 & transmitter with orginal handbook standing under a table in the corner of my radio room on the cold sement floor
Image
The serial number 6200 in handbook and 534 on frontplate of receiver .Will have to try and find cables (which i might have here somewhere) to rig up this whole lot

Inside of receiver not bad for 1942 / 1943 model , frequency range 1500 kc to 12 Mhz .

Although it is tempting to replace the power connector with something else

Please don't

I think someone on Ebay that sells matching plugs

Send me a PM with a closer picture of that front panel connector

I bought a complete TCS setup several years ago (receiver, transmitter, dynamotor supply, junction box, speaker, etc.). Although the dynamotor supply is interesting it is rather noisy. The previous owner had collected all of the parts to build an AC supply but had never built it. I put that together but needed a couple of connectors for the cables from my AC supply and I got them from WA5CAB. You might check with Robert to see if he still has them.

My original AC PS weighs 90 lbs., so look low for it, expecting to find it near the bottom of the pile :) There should be three cables to run from PS to Tx, Rx, and remote/speaker. They're fool proof as each cable has a different cannon plug (though the same at both ends). Might also look for an antenna loading coil box; about twice the size of the remote box with a knob matching the radios. All items will probably be black and dusty. Who knows, depending on the size of your shed, you might the rest of the PT boat too! Google is your friend and will lead you to much info and free paperwork online.
