It's OK to talk vintage CB here. What would you like to discuss?

Dear David & Group, My Johnson 223 CB uses about 13 Xystls to generate 23 channels
I guess the mix among themselfes to generate 23 channels ..
How can I get up to 40 channels?? " VFO" ?? Will the "VFO" be both Trans. & Rec ??
Thats all I can think of.. Any Suggestions ?? Thank You... freddbro :?

very dificult to do.
The frecuencys are generated by mixing 2 cuarz for each, so you need to use some spectial switch to combine them.
If you try to use more cuarz to get more channels, you need to build another spectial switch.

it´s more eassy and cheap to pick a new cb radio
