Hi members and guests I have a old a.r.c. type 12 [r19] The dynamotor 24 v.d.c. in 250 v.d.c. out the scematic says b+ is 277 v.d.c. I measure about 270 v.d.c. Where did the extra 25 volts come from? I must be missing something 73 loose wire

Did you run the dynamotor without a load?
If so; then maybe if you added a load that would bring the voltage down

If you are running the receiver with dynamotor from a 28 Volt bench DC supply, that might acount for it? I mean, as opposed to 24 Volts. 24 Volts is engine off and 28 was engine running and batteries being charged. The ARC Type 12 equipment is the postwar Command Set gear painted gray, and VHF, but the dynamotors work on the WWII Command Sets too as I recall. Also, as above, with no load those dynamotors will have higher voltage out. Since you refer to the schematic, I assume you mean under load.
