Update.. found it ! ..the capacitor C727 was indeed shorted and the 2K resistor was burned or open. replaced both ..and voila .. Great sounding AM. Now gotta find the problem with the FM.. Nadda ..nothing .. replaced the ECC85 (6AQ8) and still nothing. Will keep going on this.
