Would anyone have the dimensions of the RCA VS216 67.5 Volt battery? It's used in a number of tube type portables made in the early 1950's A web search didn't turn up the information. Thanks, 8)

Well, I don't know if this will help, the batteries I have look like they'd fit into your compartment.
The VS218 67 1/2v battery 1 7/8" wide, 5 3/8" high (less terminals) and 7/8" deep.
The corners are angled off about 1/4"

The same dimintions are for the Eveready 477 and the Burgess P45.

I am not near catalogs right now to look up the exact size for your VS218. If I get a chance, I will post later.
