Greetings! I am currently restoring several German DKE38 Kleinempfanger radio chassis. There is a multi-tap wire-wound resistor (ceramic core) for different AC supply voltages. The wire is missing from two of them. Can I rewind them to the proper resistance/section using 46AWG nichrome wire? I have a functioning DKE38 that I can obtaing the ohms/section from.

These show up on German E-Bay all the time. It's not worth the effort when you can buy NOS. www.Ebay.de

Donald: That's where I always purchase my DKE38's, VE301w & VE301dyn radios and parts. What do you enter in the search engine? I've tried several times with no success when looking for a suitable multi-tap wire-wound resistor.

They show up as DKE38 or DKE 38 or Kleinempfänger "ersatz" which means replacement.
I looked for you and there's nothing there today. You also might want to contact
www.askjanfirst.com He's a good start for european parts.
