Okay, have a basket case cabinet that I'm going to try and experiment with veneering. What's the general wisdom on how to handle the decorative cut outs. Sharp knife, sanding block, dremel router or some other piece of equipment? Thanks for any pointers or links

Assuming that the holes are large enough to accommodate it, a Dremel or trim router with a flush cut, bearing guided straight bit provides the neatest, most accurate cut. Otherwise, a very sharp knife such as an exacto knife will work.
