I just received a Silvertone 4781 (1938) - someone had already started to strip the cabinet, but did not completely strip it. My only problem with restoring this unit is the plastic dial bezel trim for the cabinet is missing.
I found a older post from last year from another person on this forum looking for the same part with no responses. He mentioned model 4666 and 4681 have the same bezel.
Knowing I most likely will not be able to locate a replacement bezel, I'm looking for some close-up detailed pictures of this bezel so I can attempt to fabricate one from a chunk of hardwood or the like. I can't find any good pictures on Google image search either that shows the bezel in detail.
Do any of you have any of these three models? If you do, can you snap some good detailed pictures of this bezel so I can model a new one after the pictures? From the low-res Google pics I did find, it looks to be a curved plastic bezel to fit the hip on the top of the cabinet and has a clear opening for sighting the dial 'drum' and the magic eye.

Thanks Bill - this should be fun to duplicate! It will take some time and lots of carving and sanding and maybe even experimenting with heating and bending a plexiglass inlay, but I'm confident I'll be making one from scratch for my radio.
I'll figure something out and post pics when the bezel is completed...
