Im cleaning up my grandfathers Zenith Y928W console. Im looking to clean up the speaker grill clothe, but not quite sure how to go about it. and it doesnt really look like clothe fabric up close. it almost looks like plastic or vinyl. Can anyone help me identify this material.
It seems very 60s as it should. its from '67. hah.

Wow!! great resource Gary THANK YOU!!
I am an extreme newbie to electronic repair/restoration....I can plug it in and turn it on!!....I have tons to learn and clearly came to the right place! I just bought a 1967 Dominion Electrohome Madrid S-300 cabinet console from a sweet little older lady that drove a hard bargin lol. But its really a pretty piece of furniture and I have a 30+ year old record collection I want to resurrect! Could you also recommend a board in the group that is the best place to post "talk to me like I'm 5" questions? Thank you so much!

You can start with an interesting read thru here under "Repair and Restoration Information". There is one similar on this site if you search or someone may give you a link.

Post some pics of your latest item and I expect you will get info.
