Guys,

Is it allowed to post a reference to a local company that has reproduced the Zenith wave pattern grille cloth?
I've got no affiliation with the company, just contacted him half a year ago in my search for new cloth for my 7S363.

kind regards, Peter

Why not? The suppliers of reproductions has dwindled. We need more!

Hello Peter, that's great you posted the link of the company over there in the Netherlands. Have you got the cloth for your Zenith and can you post a picture of the new cloth in your radio I have not tried to contact the company that,s selling the cloth, there is some other designs that are wonderful as well. You live over there I take it , can you call them and see how much the cost is for a 25x25 inch piece of there cloth and shipping cost to the United States would be on average. Thanks if you could do that.

I got the grill cloth from Ben Dijkman and it looks great!
The pitch of the waves is a bit smaller than the orignal.
I was advised to use water based wall paper glue to attach the grill cloth to the board and made the mistake not to seal the surface of the wood with paint or laquer. The result was that some dirt (or old glue) found it's way into the cloth, leaving brown spots bottom left and top right.
The good news is I can remove the cloth by soaking the glue with water, wash the cloth and start the process again, just haven't had the time for this.
I also installed new buttons and tabs from Renovated Radios, they look great too!
The woodwork was cleaned and I applied several layers of furnature oil, I am very happy with this radio, I think it looks absolutely stunning.

Hi Peter.. Stunning is a good word, but my use of the English is different. IMO it is Flat- A**-Gorgeous. The oil really brings out the beauty of the veneer. The new grill cloth lined up perfectly also. Great Job.

Freeman.
