Hi All
I need to replace some tube sockets on my tube checker, but for the life of me I can't find or remember the commercial name for this type of socket.
There are no mounting screws, they are held in place by metal retaining ring on the component side of the chassis. Is there any place out there that sells original
parts for the Jackson tube checker. Many thanks in advance. REJ

Sounds like what you are describing are Amphenol Type "S" sockets.A Google search should locate some rather quickly, although the last time I looked, they were getting rather pricey.

I wonder if Pacific TV in B.C. has what your looking for.
Might give you an idea of what socket you need and someone else could suggest another vendor if they don't or at a cheaper price if you pinpoint the exact socket you need.

Made the first post thinking your talking about a Stark 9-66. I have a Jackson 648 . I think my subconscious mind is trying to tell me something. Then again maybe its because I'm just getting real old . :?

This page has the old-fashioned sockets held in place with a snap-ring.

Thanks All
I now have a few more addresses for future use. I once thought that tracing a circuit through a multi level rotary switch was a chore-----
and now I have a Jackson 648R schematic to work through. The man who designed this schematic must have been an evil genius..... or maybe my eyes are not as sharp as they once were. Once again many thanks. Ron.
