I bought this scope at a garage sale for a few bucks yesterday, the guy selling it said he refurnished it many years ago. Although I was delighted that it powered up, it has a strange problem I have not seen before. Maybe someone has seen this before and can help:

It probably was owned by "the typical" grumpy old serviceman.Image It's time to show that scope "some positive signals"

Mark,

That old relic is likely suffering from Eicoitis. You can read more about that affliction at this website: BARF - Boat Anchor Radio Forum

Now, the good news is medical electronics virtually eliminated that affliction through prenatal testing thereby ensuring normal offspring and a happy family.

I think Dad's probably wondering if the kid is his or not! There's always a chance that grumpy Mr. Eico paid her a visit when dad was at work in the lab.

Storing a sine wave??? a 455kHz IF at that!.... what another waste! But maybe you didn't depress the Store button. (Why the hell do they use depress instead of press?) Give me a break ....oh excuse me but I did get a break from the negative waves on Youtube.

So there!

Grammar Police, Internet Netiquette Police, Hamfest Police.... now we have Recreational Time Police! I wonder what the fine is for relaxing in a lawn chair, just gazing up at the clouds? Aah, there's s solution for that.... mow the lawn at the same time! Dang it, I just leveled the wife's flower garden.
