I've a working 561B, and a 564.

Been collecting plugins for them, and now have a 3L5, 3S2, 3T2, 3S7, 3T7, and a 3A5. Need to find a 3B5 at some point, to marry up to the 3A5.

I've got a basic set of amplifiers, and time bases that work fine, as does the 3L5. The samplers, and 3A5 are relatively recent additions, and need going through.

I mostly use the 561B when poking around higher voltages (read: a TV). Otherwise, I've a 2246 I use when working with relatively voltage stuff. I've got a 7603 & 7584 setting near by w/ appropriate plugins, but they almost never gets used, too big, and the 2246 is too convenient. There's also a little 211 handy, if I need something tiny, and portable.

I got rid of the plug-ins I never used, but my secret weapon is the 1A7A for low level stuff. I also use the diode recovery plug-in every now and then. I've got a sampling plug-in, but have never determined if it works or how to fix it if it doesn't. I used to have the very desirable spectrum analyzer plug-ins, but concluded that with a linear time base, they're not terribly useful, so sold them off as well.

I do have a bunch of tube HP scopes - 120B, 132A, and the 140A, with both standard plugins and the TDR plugin.

I have a 2246 for the few times I ever need an XY display (my digital scope struggles there) but I prefer the functionality and user interface of my Rigol for day to day usage.

No counter and no storage, but my full time bench scope for almost 5 years now is a Tek 2465 a good GP scope. Paid about 300 bucks for it, and its been a nice addition.

Almost exactly 50 years ago, I was working in a cal lab repairing and calibrating those monsters...so I do have fond memories. Now, I would have no room for one.

Funny - we used to pull the time delay relays in the Tek 5XX's and fire them up for heat in the winter - our two wall mounted heat-pump units couldn't keep up. The Thermo-humidigraph would bottom out it was so cold. With three scopes and every other thing turned on, we could get it to a balmy 65 degrees - warm enough to calibrate!

My 515A is the only scope that I can truly trust. Inside it looks as though it arrived from the factory yesterday. The fan bearing is a bit noisy, though. My other non-audio range scope is a 10+ years old 25 MHz Velleman PC scope with FFT spectrum analyzer. I seldom use it. With some equipment I recently built, I just mix everything down to the range of the 515A.

I think Martin probably has to run air conditioning in the winter, too, with the collection he has!

a pair of triple nickel (Tek 555) is very compatible to an electric furnace.
The third will blow out the fuse from the working room..

hello Mike,
a counter can also be a plugin for the Tek
