I need a new/used meter for the Jackson 658-A tube tester. I broke the sping inside trying to remove corrosion.Any old dead 658's or 658-A's out there? Suggestions on replacing with other meter and settings?How are meters set,in millamps?<BR>Mike<BR><P>------------------<BR>

Bummer. 658s are rare; spare 658 meters even more so. The parts list is very helpful: it says "Meter." Can you piece together the old meter, even long enough to measure the sensitivity? 1 mA would be a good guess to start, but to really find out, you can substitute a Simpson 260 or other VOM and see what it reads. Jackson didn't make its own meters, so if you search long enough, you can find a movement that will fit.<P>------------------<BR>
