Very nice. It must have been a local pickup for you. I didn't see this one on eBay...must have slipped by me.

Raysep, was that the one for sale in Michigan that just sold on eBay? Seems unlikely, since you are in Georgia and the auction did not mention the two shs-9's. I have been looking for one of these for years and now they seem to be coming out of the woodwork. Here's the one I picked up about 6 weeks ago:

Along with the SHF-6 and the SHF-2 in modern, IMHO I think this is among the best-looking of the New Orthophonics. It's odd that yours came with not one but TWO SHS-9's---since only one is needed for stereo. Of course, since the SHS-9 only has a single 12" woofer as opposed to the main console that has two, having an extra is great for some extra blast if you have the room! Great catch.

I think that is very cool but I think something is bizarre is going on with that set up!

The SHC-6 main unit you have is stereo but original one channel is the main cabinet and the other channel is a single external cabinet. Strange you have TWO external cabinets so I am wondering how this unit is hooked up. Let us know how and where all those speakers are hooked up to. Pull that back off and tell us or snap a pictures and show us if you are not sure what you are looking at.

Very nice, that is one well kept console. The grille cloth looks clean, no dark circles where the speakers are.
