Turntable runs OK at all four speeds, has good torque, but no automatic functions work. Noticed that the changer mechanism does not move at all. I know this may be impossible to pinpoint, but would appreciate any pointers.

The trip mechanism is likely frozen, seized, or bent.

Really you need to look at the mechanics on the bottom . 95% of all problems are parts that do not move anymore because the old oil and grease has become stiff . Take a good look and lubricate it .

Clean before lubricating, and in some cases instead of lubricating.
