I wonder if he got in the trunk the first time he tried driving a car...

Wow, is that for real? If so, he needs to be killed. Seriously. C-I-L-L-E-D killed.

Every time I see him reach for that reject button I say to myself...NO way...he can't be trying it AGAIN! Then he REALLY pushes that reject button hard and you know that tone arm is just coming back home again, LOL!

When he drops that poor old 78 on TOP of the stabilizer arm my jaw dropped :D Finally he drops the record onto the TT and you say YEAH! he is finally gonna get it this time and he flips that damn stabilizer over and you know that tone arm is going home yet again! The last straw is when he just tries to manually force that tone arm on to the record and it goes "uh-uh, nope...I am going HOME" that just busts me....

Kind of funny but understandable from someone who was born in the digital media era.
I bet a lot of guys here would have similar problems with an Edison Diamond Disc or cylinder phonograph, or if you sat them in a Model T Ford & told them to drive it without giving them instructions first.

Give it another 20 years and they really wont have a clue, it was kind of sad watching him trying to figure it out and getting more and more mad with the turntable.
Im just glad i grew up when turntables and lps where still mainstream and not stuck only knowing how to work a cd player.

What's the old saying? "He couldn't figure out how to pour pee out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel?"

Last week I answered a phone call at the auto parts store and the guy ask me for the firing order on an engine. I looked it up and told him finishing up telling him the distributor turned counter clockwise. There was a pause and he said "What's that?".....

One might say it's a part of the "Dumbing of Society"
I've been telling people that "Smart Phones" make people even more dumb, actually.
God forbid anyone should actually read, comprehend and use a Road Atlas to embark on an automobile trip someplace these days.
It takes too much brain power for that!
And don't get me started on the subject of Common Sense.....

That was phonograph abuse. And they had the nerve to broadcast their genius on YouTube.
Even a Crosley doesn't deserve that.

That was hard to watch but give the kid a break. He grew up thinking he had to push the START button to shut something down and that record player doesn’t have a GO or a HELP button.

Ohhh you bleeding heart VanCleave! do you REALLY want this guy doing your bunion surgery next week?

You know...he could have hit the GO or HELP button on his computer and did a search for one of the 10,000 videos of people correctly working GE Wildcat record players on YouTube...the very site which he posted this video. LOL!

This is not so much a case of lack of knowledge (which is always forgivable) as it is intelligence quotient. I mean there is very limited amount of options here, stabilizer up and stabilizer down and he only hits 50% of those choices...not good!

Seeing that really makes you think. At first I was thinking that the guy seems insane as he keeps doing the same thing over and over again, hoping for a different result. But really, when you think about it, a record changer is not something that is very intuitive---especially if you have never seen or used one before in your entire life. I remember back in the days of DOS, I'd see people at work who would keep trying a million different commands that seemed like they should make sense, but the computer would just do nothing. This kind of reminded me of seeing that.

I think this guy's biggest error was to post a video of it before he had a clue. He DID however find his answer as a result of the video...

No...this guy just ain't that smart, you can tell LOL

We need to face the facts all humans are not blessed with the same physical or mental talents. Besides people should not be rewarded equally for being successful and just for trying. That is what is killing the USA in the world market...bonuses for people who run businesses into the ground. Hey but they tried!

As was I....we all know you would only leave your bunion surgery to someone the likes of RepairTech .....:?

I am always sarcastic...I can't recall ever being serious.

If someone gave this guy half a brain, it would die of loneliness.
