I just found a Philco Phonograph, complete and in great shape on the outside ( wooden Case) but most of the wireing and the few caps that it has are in bad shape. The only info on it that I can find is Model no. C1347, there is another number that is barely visable C1755. I have searched Riders and I can't locate a schematic, Is there anyone out there that can suggest a serch location. Thanks, Ed Price

Beitman's has a schematic for that in the 1955 edition (pg 71). PM me if you need it.
It also appears to be in Sams 279-10 but I don't have that.

This player is very similar to the 1956 D-1347. Very easy to re-cap.
Here are a few pics of mine:

Thanks, The photo is the twin to the one that I found. I was tempted to hook it up when I brought it in, (I am new at the tube restoration and the forum) but following the advice of the folks on the forum, opened it up and found a mess. The hardware looks really good. Thanks for the Photo's. Ed Price

Ed,

Here is a before and after pair of pics of the amp chassis. All I did was replace the 4-section cardboard tube filter cap with 4 individual electrolytics. I installed a terminal strip to mount them. I usually change out the coupling caps, too, but apparently I didn't here. Does this look like your chassis?

That Beitman's schem is very difficult to read, but really all you need to do is replace value-for value.

I see that amp is loaded with bumblebee caps. It's been my experience that they are usually in worse shape than the old wax caps from the '30's; so, I'd change them.
