So I have a 1966 ish GE console.
When I first turn it on, the speakers sound great.
The more I listen to it, the weaker the left one gets then eventually sounds like a bunch of static.

Any help would be great on where I should start.
I initually thought the CAP on the speaker itself when it was getting weak, but now I think not with the static thing.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

I collect solid state consoles, sounds like a bad transistor to me, you need to check the output transistors.
If you find it is this replace the output capacitors as a precaution.

I agree on a bad transistor that's showing off after it warms up. A can of freeze spray may help you find the defective component. It could also be a bad cap.
