Not exactly a console, but as i hang out here i though id post the pics.
I picked this up for $12 and apart from a broken balance switch it is complete.
I spent yesterday cleaning it up and it works very well, it is very heavy with a massive power transformer.
Looking at the numbers stamped on the unit and extension speaker it was made in 1968, the caps inside also say 68.
It has been hard finding any info or pictures of this radio.
It has a phono input does anybody know if Magnavox made standalone turntables?

That's an interesting radio and I'm sure it's a good performer. And, yes, Magnavox had stand-alone turntables. They are somewhat hard to find; but, they do turn up. During the era of this radio, Magnavox turntables were made by Collaro. Sometime during the early '70's, Magnavox had a VM built "mini changer" for use with their compact, lower end component systems. You could also find a Magnavox record changer from a junk console and build a wooden base for it.

Just given this a work out i dug out my favourite Britney Spears album and cranked it up, it is a very solid performer and the speakers are a good match for the amp.
I recapped it today, replaced the electrolytic next to the transformer and the caps round the transistors, everything else was the little mica caps ive left those alone.
Printed circuit board but nicely laid out with lots of room to work, i hate cramped solid state boards.
