REQUEST: 7-inch Low-Freq Trackability Test disc:
Does anyone know of "available" (not-impossible-to-find) 7-inch low-frequency trackability test disc? (old or new)
Such as the bass drum test on the Shure circa-1980 (?) trackability LP, but on a 7-inch disc? Where they count out the bass drum hits, each one getting progressively louder by an exact dB amount, and you can count how high different phono's can go before they mistrack...
(Yes, I can just try different random 45's with lots of bass like Jamaican Reggae 45s, but I would rather have a more exact measurement of the exact loudest bass hit a cartridge-and-tone-arm combination can take before it mistracks... the Shure LP is PERFECT for testing phono's which can handle 12-inch LPs, but would like to find the same thing or something similar for testing 45 rpm jukes, to see if cart-and-tone-arm combination is "about on par" with most well-tracking vintage 1950s players, or sub-par...)
Thx
- Bob
