I lost a zenith model hfz18r in a fire. It was bought in 1960 and in very good condition. What would it's worth be for insurance purposes?

Probably $50 to $100 there is no real set value in consoles yet.

To be honest most of us console collectors dont really think about value, i buy them because i like them and im always finding something different

Over the years, various books for collectors have been published showing values for antique radios. I suspect all those books are obsolete now since eBayers are paying extremely high prices for many of the older radios. I've never seen any book about values of 50s and later phonographs. I always tell people who ask that question that value is what someone else is willing to pay for it, and that varies all over the place, particularly with phonographs.
