hey guys, first time poster. my son and I found this Magnavox astro sonic console. model number 1p3675 im trying to find a year and model on this but cannot seem to find any information on this particular unit. I did find it has the callero model 821 turntable. the radio has a good sound to it no speaker crackle. the turntable plays a little slow and the tone arm acts a little funny, seems confused on which way to go. my son (18 yo) has gotten really into vinyl so this will be a great project for us. if you can help us with a year and model and things to look at any help is appreciated!!!

1P3675 is listed in the 1971 catalog and described as Italian Classic in grained pecan finish. It's listed as 20 watts with two 10 inch woofers and two 1000 Hz exponential horns.

You can find some info at the link below. You have to join to download but it's free.

its normal for tonearm movement to seem a bit strange on these, since the record changer moves the tonearm up and over to feel for the edge of the record, thats how it knows what size record you are playing (and where to set the needle down) and to shut off if there are no more records on the spindle.

if its playing too slow, but the speed is steady, its probably old gummy oil in the motor bearings.
