Very interesting reading your posts. I just obtained the same truetone D1046 that I listened to as a kid. The radio works (needs antennas) but the phonograph is missing. I see that a Hudson is the same. Do you how how/where I can get a "as is" or rebuilt one?

Sorry I can't really tell where you stand on getting a changer. But SAMS data indicates original changer for D1046 to be a Mirrortone Series 700F33, F45. The data on it is covered by SAMS 75-11. Currently on ebay is a SAMS Photofact 75-11 which you may can use. The item number is 351702862839.

I believe that's the same, or similar, to a General Industries 700F. ... 008442.pdf

I suppose I could add, that this is not commonly found record changer. That said, I have no experience with the General Industries 700F, and believe it may be difficult to source one. Unless you're a purist and want it correct, you may want to install a more commonly found record changer in it's place. Perhaps someone here has one in their stash?
