I got a strange record as part of a collection I recently purchased, and was wondering if anyone has any info to share.
The speed is not on the label.
Info from the label reads:
Recorded by Whitford L. Hall
Minister of Music
First Congregational Church
1311 H St., N.W. Washington 5, D.C.
NAtional 8-4317
EMerson 2-1166
Play manually
Copied from client's tape
Nov. 29, 1959
Allene Hall Pippin, Sop.
John Harvey, Accomp.
Is this a 78 speed?
Thanks,
Jim
------------------
If it has no marks it pprobly is a 78 , Just try it with a 33 1/3 needle on 33 1/3 RPM, then try it on 78RPM , if it is slow on 33 1/3 , then it is a 78RPM and switch the needle to a 78 RPM needle. thats how i do my unknowns
------------------
Nothing Works Beter Then An Antique Radio...Well Maybe Two..or Three.

Radio-Years

With a 1959 date, it would be unusual for it to be a 78. Most likely a 33 LP, I would guess.
I wonder if the guy doing the recording is the father of the soprano?
Tom
------------------
Recorded in 1959, my guess is either 33-1/3,or 78. Play it.
Dan
------------------
