1920 Sonora Nocturne, And a 1923 Sonora leather cased portable. Both work great! this is what started me on this downward spiral that got me into this mess of collecting 78rpm records. And now on to the Philco 46-1226 and more goodies.

It began with a simple desire to have an old radio as a decorator or accent piece. Shopping around the usual places, we found several and settled on a Philco 90. After a couple of weeks, we saw another old radio. Too hard to choose which one we liked most, so we kept both. Then, the "Just One More" syndrome hit us. When a year had passed, we had gathered a couple of dozen early radios. Thereafter, we discovered a Victrola that fit the theme of one of the rooms we were redecorating. Here we go again, this time we gathered about 40 crank up phonographs. Then, we discovered the world of jukeboxes. In the decades since that first radio, we have accumulated about 50 of each, plus numerous other mechanical/electrical antiquities. The following photos are a few of the items in our collections. Hope you enjoy!

Hey, is that Big Al Larson? I got several speakers from you through the years, which we love. A couple you can see in one of the photos. I still have all of them and my wife and I display them proudly. Russie Ofria

Here is a 1942 zenith 10s 669 that I hade restored a few years ago. The turntable has been repaired along everything else. I got it from a women that said here husband bought it right before he went to fight in WW2 didn't have time it play it much till he returned in 1946. They hung on to it all these years and was sold to me 2 years ago after his death. It hade been sitting stored away for quit some time and needed to be restored , so here it is. Looks brand new and I had did some custom work on it and grill cloth is new along with pin stripes and zenith decal and high gloss piano finish. The radio has short wave and sounds great, the last of the pre war sets, you just don't see this restored like this because there not a high collector piece but that may change as time goes buy when there will be fewer and fewer left around. Fred Taylor from Dallas Tx

ton10291 Hey that Fisher console (mono) phono/radio in the first picture, did that originally come from Omaha NE. I know that it's probably been a long time since you acquired it, and that you may have sold or disposed of it as well. The reason I ask is that my aunt and uncle had the exact same model, finish, etc. and I'm wondering if it would happen be the same one. I would love to get a hold of one of these, as it had super good sound, especially for being a mono unit. Loved the bass sound it produced with the speaker being mounted facing the floor. If you happen to see this post, let me know if you still have it, does it work, and also would you ever be interested in selling it. wjb122750@hotmail.com

This is my 1924 Victor Victrola 210 all parts are from a VV 210 the only thing I really had to replace was the speed indicator window mine had water damage and you could not see through it, produces an amazing sound.

I believe this is a Honey Pet record player. It's got to be one of the smallest record players ever made. It is powered by 2 C batteries and 1-9 volt battery. A friend found this at a thrift store several years ago for 50 cents. Since she knew I collected record players, she bought it and gave it to me.

Very nice 8)

What cartridge are you using with the Zenith?

If it is a mono cartridge it will over time ruin stereo records as a mono cartridge doesn't have the compliance for stereo records.

grandfather's RCA SHF-5, 1956.

the amplifier was fully restored and the turntable was disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated down to the last washer and Eclip.

I restored it back in 2013.
